Founded in 2018, Ship 323 is excited to celebrate its 7th anniversary in the 2024-2025 Year in Scouting.
We are a part of Sea Scouts, a program of Scouting America in the Mayflower Council, and are proudly chartered by the Weymouth Heights Club.
What makes Sea Scouts so unique is getting out on the water, and Ship 323 is no different. Ship 323 uses a variety of boats from small outboard motorboats to large sailing yachts and vessels. Together, we learn piloting and the rules of the road, navigation and how to read the weather. We detail maritime history and traditions, learn knots and fancy rope work, master boat maintenance, engine service, and marine electronics skills.
We track advancements and awards using ScoutBook, a simple, online tool that we offer to parents as a way of viewing their Scout's completions as they move along the ranks of Sea Scouting. When a Scout joins the ship, an invitation is sent for parents to connect to their ScoutBook profile. We regularly communicate with Ship families using the ScoutBook program, so it's important that you accept that invitation and complete your own profile to include your email address and cell phone number.
We welcome you to join us in this fun-filled adventure we call Sea Scouting!
Yours in Scouting,
Aaron Christian, Skipper
